People love fast websites and fast service. FastComet gets this. If hosting companies like GoDaddy, Hostgator, or DreamHost are front runners in the race, FastComet is quickly closing in for the pass. This 2009 start-up left the starting gate in flames and has been speeding ever since!
Today’s FastComet review provides hosting options that are fast, hack-free, mobile-friendly and well-supported at a “no surpises” fixed price. They offer 24/7 free support (even for beginners), free templates and tutorials, free application installation, daily and weekly backups, and 24/7 monitoring.
They also offer great FastComet coupons that make the switch worth it and the ride to the top of your business simply — well — intergalactic. So keep reading for more key differences in plans and features.
Overview of Features and Plans
One thing that makes their hosting so fast is the SSD-only cloud storage that gives up to 300% faster access to your files and databases as compared to non-SSD hosting.
They also have another speed strategy: free CloudFlare CDN that distributes your content around the world, so it’s closer to those viewing it. This makes for bona-fide acceleration.
Put these together and you have 395 ms load time. Compared to GoDaddy’s 689 ms, there really is no comparison on speed.
You can also enjoy all the usual features like cPanel point-and-click management, free backups, free support and a 45-day money-back guarantee. What they add to the usual fare are two deal-breakers for me:
- FREE domain FOREVER
- Fixed prices
Yep. Never pay GoDaddy another jacked-up price for your domain name or site. Ever.
They also have free templates and tutorials and support experts that make their service a dream for beginning users.
Here’s the key information you want to know:

- Fixed renewal price (doesn’t jump up after first term)

My Experience With FastComet
My user experience with this company has been a really pleasant experience. From client UI to page loading speeds, everything is truly up to the mark with this company.
And with this company’s six different data centers around the world, I can work my business almost anywhere on the globe.
Friends in India or Bangladesh have been pleased with site speed when they found out they could move their sites from the Dallas center to London or Singapore. I learned that tech support can take care of this for you sans problème.
When I submitted a ticket for setting up memcaching (which speeds your site), a support team member had it installed through W3 Total Cache within 15 minutes. You can get easy assistance installing other things like CMS platforms and plugins for absolutely free. That’s worth something.
Besides global reach and great tech support, FastComet’s price/performance ratio makes it a strong contender with established companies. While GoDaddy or HostGator may have been in the race first, FastComet’s friendly (non-predatory) service has them beat.
In fact, the more I use this company, the more pleased I am with their service.
What I Like About FastComet
Here are the 10 reasons why I love FastComet:
- Great support/setup assistance installing CMS platforms/plugins (for free)
- SSD drives are super fast compared to standard Hard Drives
- Renewal price doesn’t go up, ever
- Daily and weekly backups
- Seven data centers/Content Delivery Network
- Free domain for life
- eCommerce plans
- Multiple security features (firewalls, login monitoring, etc.)
- Low cost
- Money back guarantee/other competitive features
What I Didn’t Like About FastComet
Okay, as with any host, “unlimited” has some limits. For example, if you read their terms of service carefully, you will read that there are certain restrictions on server usage and (large) mysql queries. Some bandwidth limitations have come up in customer reviews, with one mentioning a 20 GB threshold, which seems fairly low).
“Unlimited” really means that as long as you don’t surpass the average website’s traffic by too large a margin, you are okay.
In this regard, the other drawback is that they seem to lacks plans and solutions for incredibly large or high-traffic sites. Maybe that is just the niche parameters they have set for themselves.
- SSD storage options
- Free domain name included
- CloudFlare CDN
- No site builder option
- No options for high-traffic websites
Helpful Customer Reviews
Here are some recent customer reviews I found helpful.
“I give 5 out of 5 for FastComet Hosting. There are at least 5 things which FastComet provides that other top hosting companies IGNORE: 1) same renewal price on hosting, 2) free domain hosting for life, 3) SSD Drivers, 4) free daily and weekly backups, and 5) free CloudFlare CDN. Without any hesitation, go with FastComet.”
– Rohit Thaker
“[I] had an issue with my emails that my previous host could not fix to save their lives. The guys over at FastComet fixed it within 15 minutes and won my loyalty for life.”
“I was treated with extreme manners and speed. This is how you do business and it is strange to me that bigger companies in the industry treat people so badly while newer players like FastComet can provide such amazing service.”
— Michael Goldham
“There are hosts that take your money, break your website,
leave you struggling with their service . . . and then there is FastComet.”
– Sherry Rubenstein
“Support is incredibly fast and accurate.”
– Michael de Sutter
All things considered, there are very few complaints for this company.
Fast Hosting Plans
The offerings are simple and straightforward. (Everything about this company moves straight forward.) The three webhosting plans are: Single Website, Multiple Website, and E-commerce.
All include free domain for life, free website transfer, cPanel and Softaculous, unlimited emails, unlimited databases, 24/7 tech support, 99.9% uptime guarantee, free CloudFlare CDN and daily and weekly backups.
For a whopping $2.95 per month, Single Website includes all the main features and 35 GB SSD space with unlimited traffic.
For $5.95 per month, Multiple Website includes 55 GB SSD, 3x performance boost, priority support, one-click file restore, and unlimited add-on slots.
For $6.95 per month, E-Commerce offers unlimited SSD, free GlobalSign SSL, e-commerce support and tutorials, free shopping cart install, $75 in toll-free credits, free MailChimp integration, and personal DNS branding. That’s a good deal for $6.95 per month!
They also have other features that main front-runners do not.
For example, whereas GoDaddy offers 100 GB of disk space to FastComet’s 35 GB, this doesn’t really matter because FastComet has ultra-fast SSD storage that GoDaddy does not offer.
FastComet also offers 24/7 priority support for FREE. GoDaddy’s is LIMITED in both availability and quality. (Don’t get me started about GoDaddy’s business practices. . . .)
FastComet offers Rocket Cacher which is totally unknown to its competitors.
Cloud Linux is also offered (in line with the options of its competitors) but with the additional offering of free web and CSF firewall protection. Hosting companies like GoDaddy just don’t offer this.
To complete the comparison with GoDaddy, FastComet has the following additional features that users really appreciate:
- Media Server (GoDaddy score on this one: Zero)
- FFmpeg (GD score on this one: Zero)
- 1-click Back-up (GD: Zero)
- Free Restore (GD: Zero)
And the final kick is that the base package price for FastComet web hosting is 57% OFF THE PRICE of GoDaddy’s base package price. (Recall that it is $2.95 for FastComet versus $7 for GoDaddy).

SSD Server Accounts
You can also get all the great features of VPS hosting with added HDD storage and all the particular plan elements outlined below if you go with one of the four SSD Dedicated Server plans.
Dedicated Server Plan 1
The first DS plan features Quad-Core Intel Xeon processing with a CPU of E5-2680 v2 at 2.80 GHz. For $139/month (down from $159 per month), DS 1 includes:
- 4 x 2.80 GHz CPU
- 4 GB RAM
- 96 GB SSD
- 4 TB bandwith
- 500 Mbit Network Out
Dedicated Server Plan 2
The most popular plan is the second dedicated server plan. DS 2 includes all the following in a Hexa-Core Intel Xeon environment with CPU E5-2680 v2 at 2.80 GHz for $179.00 per month. The original price was $199.00 per month. Here’s what this popular plan includes:
- 6 x 2.80GHz CPU
- 8 GB RAM (new upgraded speed level)
- 192 GB SSD
- 8 TB bandwith
- 1000 Mbit Network Out
Dedicated Server Plan 3
Featuring an Octa-Core Intel Xeon infrastructure with a CPU E5-2680 v2 at 2.80 GHz, DS 3 plan really starts shifting your performance and functionality into overdrive. For just $259.00 per month – a savings of $40 off the old pricing scheme – customers who purchase a dedicated server package at this level get serious fast functionality.
Here’s what you can get:
- 8 x 2.80 GHz CPU
- 16 GB RAM
- 384 GB SSD
- 16 TB bandwith
- 2000 Mbit Network Out
The top of the line for FastComet products and services is their DS 4 plan.
Dedicated Server 4 Plan
With 3x the CPU frequency, the Dedicated Server 4 Plan has a Hexadeca-Core Intel Xeon CPU E5-2680 v2 at 2.80 GHz. This is for businesses in serious over-drive. The pricing for this is a bit steep: $419 per month which is a savings of $40 off the original product pricing.
Here’s what this package offers:
- 12 x 2.80 GHz CPU
- 32 GB RAM
- 768 GB SSD
- 20 TB bandwith (meaning: 5x the bandwith of Dedicated Server 1 plan!)
- 4000 Mbit Network Out (double the amount of DS 3)
The way I see it, with all the plans discounted from their original prices and especially the mega-sized offerings for dedicated server packages, now is the time to jump on this company’s steed for a sprint to the finish line for all your entrepreneurial goals.
Compared to the industry’s front-runners, FastComet represents a new breed of hosting company that carries power, speed and elegant customer service all in stride.
Why should you go with FastComet? It’s the fast service, fast support response, absence of (Go-Daddy-like) predatory policies, fixed prices and freebies, and those little extra “pizzaz” features that no one else imagines.
These make our FastComet review pull out ahead of the others in my book.
Now, quick call the bookie. In the race to the top with my business, I am betting on FastComet.
